Under The Radar: The Madisons

The Madisons were formed in late 2020 when guitarist Louis Fleming met bassist Archie Brook at a party in Sheffield. They decided to form a band, with Archie bringing in singer Lewis Taylor and drummer Alex Whitaker. Louis brought in his twin brother Isaac to complete the lineup.
The band practised together throughout 2021, with their debut gig coming in July of the same year at Tiger Works bar. This was the start of many shows in Sheffield throughout 2021 and 2022, with 3 notable headline shows at West Street Live.
During these gigs, the band slowly phased in original music. Each band member drew from individual influences when writing the songs, creating a unique range in the bands sound, from the jangly indie pop of “You’re at it Again” to the hard-hitting stadium rock riffs of “Is The Feeling Mutual?”.
The Madisons released their anticipated debut single, the aforementioned “Is The Feeling Mutual” on the 6th of May 2022 to a great reception from fans. The band then released “You’re At It Again” on the 22nd of July in the same year, a fan favourite song that the band had been performing since their very first gigs in 2021. (From Spotify)
