Based on Spotify streams
There is a team of us working together with Dan from DP Happy hour and Dan from In Your Ears Radio
to produce a monthly Top of the Radar chart. It is something from the fans for artists and bands to
celebrate single releases and provide a platform for your new material and generate a buzz around
single releases and the artists featuring in the chart.
The top 20 tracks with most streams within the first Ten Days of Release will make the chart which will
be on In Yours Ears Radio hosted by Dan. This shall air on (enter date)
Those who do not make the Top 20 will have there track showcased on In Your Ears Radio the week
after the main show in a Rest of the Radar slot. Day and time would be confirmed after the main show
The top 20 will be picked on highest streams on Spotify within the first ten days of release.
It is only open to artists with less than 20,000 followers so everyone nominated is in the same situation.
We want it to be for independent, new and upcoming bands and artists to get there name and track out
Your track will be added to our Top of the Radar Spotify playlist for the month.
An mp3 file of the track must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org
If a copy of the track is not received then your entry for the chart will be removed.
If we believe there is any foul play the artist will be disqualified from the chart with immediate effect
and banned from participating in any future shows. We as a team want this to be fun and give new
singles the celebration they deserve. There is no Brit Award waiting at the finish line so we want it to be
All nominees must help promote our event. Each nominee will receive a welcome pack containing
banners and templates and a list of ideas to encourage fans to stream your track and get involved with
the show. Ideally at least one social media post a week and if you tag Top of the Radar and In Your Ears
music we shall also support the posts you are putting out hitting a wider number of people.
The radio station does not have a licence. The goal of the radio station is to allow independent artists to
send their tracks and get them airtime.
No payment will be provided to the artists who send tracks or we offer to play the tracks.
By participating, you agree that it will be played on the radio without payment. Of course, should you
wish not to have your song airplayed on the radio anymore, just send us an email.
The goal is to help promote and give exposure to new bands.
