Spangled Announce New Single “Maggie”

Manchester Band Spangled have just announced next Friday their latest single “Maggie”will be out!
The band have said it’s one of the best tunes they’ve written and closest to their hearts.

With their energetic live shows and infectious stage presence, Spangled have quickly established themselves as a must-see act. Their music has resonated with audiences across the UK and beyond, and they are poised to make a significant impact on the indie rock scene.

Falling in love with Maggie

I pressed play on this with the excitement of a teenager, stood outside the Co-op with their mates, waiting for their next door neighbour Bob to come out with their alcohol!

Manchesters best kept secret Spangled always release music that makes you feel better, even if you are already as happy as a dog with two dicks, they just make you feel better.

So let’s delve head first into Maggie, if I may

The intro is, put quite bluntly, fucking glorious, if you dropped it into 1990 it would get all snug alongside The Cure or the Roses.

That so very sweet sunshine laced twang of the guitar as It gathers in speed and intensity and those sun drenched guitar riffs pound along, picking up the pace. Then along comes Ben. His unique vocal dropping immaculately on top of that soundscape.

The lyrics, as ever with Spangled, are thought provoking yet at the same time carrying a terrific sense of humour.

Wam Bam Baby

The whole track has a brilliant energy and races along at a speed, that Usain Bolt would doff his cap to. If you aren’t sitting down, you’ll be moving and if you are, you’ll wanna get up and give it some.

That typical catchy Spangled chorus, will have ya vocal cords doing Simone Biles things, as you belt it out along with em!

It’s an outrageously good track this.

Maggie has a definite style about her, a swagger not unlike that of a 60’s beehive wearing Catherine Hepburn!

I can honestly see this becoming a favourite Spangled track with a lot of their fans.

Live, it will have the crowd bouncing, as all their tunes do, but this might just put a little more Zebedee in that bounce.

Whether or not that favour gets returned or Maggie does indeed know.

I think I’ve fallen in love with her.

I hope the lads are beaming with pride over this tune.

Next level?
