Nekrasova by Radiator Review

Nekrasova by Radiator Review

Radiator’s new single, Nekrasova, is a fiery indie tune that blends together a multitude of eras and influences within the rock style, from the sounds of the 80s from bands such as Joy Division, The Fall and The Smiths, to the 00s post-punk revival from bands including Bloc Party and Editors.

Radiator waste no time in jumping straight in with a humongous wave of liveliness that immediately gets the listener engaged and is guaranteed to be a floor filler, especially when performed live. The guitar riffs are performed with a true sense of precision and direction, with the drum pattern being a shuffling masterclass that steers the song along.

The lyrics and vocal delivery are reminiscent of the late Ian Curtis with a spoken and subtly melodic recital. The lyrics exude an upbeat message, portraying the message of doing what you want to do that makes you feel happy.

This song is released shortly after Radiator’s signing to No Distance Records, who broke into the charts last year with their first vinyl release. I’m looking forward to seeing how Radiator progress within the record label.
