Little Juke – When the Sea Came to Tea Review
The newest single from one of the hottest new bands, Little Juke, strays away from their profound trip-hop indie fused inspired previous singles and instead drills down into a more diverse and lavishly layered sound with the piano and brass section creating a pivotal force throughout the song.
The song begins with a delicate piano intro on top of finely placed vocals, reminiscent of 00s Post-Britpop bands such as Keane and early Coldplay, before the other instruments and the tight harmonies follow in quick succession to really bring the song to its climax, dipping in and out to motivate the emotional value of the track, finishing off with a monstrous instrumental that wouldn’t feel out of place in a blockbuster movie.
Little Juke have finished the year off with a brilliant track to cement their place in 2024’s most exciting bands and with a slight change in direction, it will be interesting to see where they progress and with a new album due in February 2025, there will be plenty more songs to fill their fans’ appetites!
