Kyle Falconer – Angelina Review

Angelina is the brand new track by Kyle Falconer, who is best known as the lead vocalist and one of the songwriters in the Scottish indie band The View. This is his first release as a solo artist in 3 years and it is well worth the wait.

The song, which is intertwined with strings that guide the track along and a chugging acoustic guitar accompaniment, truly gives light to Kyle’s vulnerable and intricately airy vocals with a minimalistic approach that pays off well, as it allows the listener to focus on every element of the track as they all come together to create a candidly soul-stirring tune.

The song takes the listener on a steady journey building up in a subtle manner and placing all of the instrumentation on an equal level that gives each component a chance to be heard and appreciated.

This track follows in a long line of songs containing a woman’s name in the title that examines the conflicts and self-doubt within a relationship which really tugs on the heart strings, creating a picturesque atmosphere.

This track will be included on his new acoustic album, released on February 7th, which will include reworks of classic tracks from his previous solo efforts and his work within The View that are all inspired by women, to coincide with Valentine’s Day.
