It’s been an interesting year for new music, there are so many artists out there that are under the radar and deserve so much more exposure! the team behind In Your Ears Music do their best to try and showcase as many as we can. The main thing is we try and showcase more artists that are new to us.

If you head over to our Spotify page you will see the Discover New Music – playlist playlist which has over 700 tracks from artists that have sent music into IYE this year! Every Friday we also have our New Music Radar playlist come out featuring some of the best new tunes out that week!

Our Shows on Mixcloud showcase some amazing artists too. The Old Indie kids works really hard to go through over 1000 emails a month and showcase his favourites on the Daft Pom Show. And he also teamed up again with Tanner for the Indie 100 Cup where the brilliant Silvi won song of the year!
We also have the fantastic Laura Beth who brings us the Laura Beth Mixtape at the start of every month and Shining A Light with Ady Hanson.

We have continued to support bands in Manchester with three fantastic live events this year, First up was Red Eye Pariah at the Lions Den followed by Ventrelles at The Lodge, The Deaf Institute and lastly The Hazy Janes at the Eagle Inn. Three events that showcased brilliant emerging music!

This year also saw IYE bring out The Radar Magazine. The response to this was brilliant and hopefully we can do something again next year!

2025 will mark 5 years of In Your Ears Music. a fantastic community ran company that I love being a part of. We have some fantastic ideas in the pipeline.

We have three new writers for our website, Brandon, Cameron and Elijah who will be bringing you new content. You can check out some of the content now on the site.

We are aiming to bring you one show a week on Sundays Starting with Laura Beth’s Mixtape on the first Sunday of the month followed by Daft Pom, Then we have Darren Lovell joining us for the 157 The Themed Edition. Then another show to be announced!

We will continue running a few live events in Manchester and we have been talking to a place in Rochdale about helping them showcase emerging artists too.
This year we we also be doing out own little mini festival called Emergence. It will feature around 6-8 artists in a 80 capacity venue, so tickets will be limited. More Details on that soon.

Another main area we are looking to improve is our connections., over the last several months we have been going to networking events to meet people in the music industry and get the “In Your Ears Music” name out more. We are hoping by building more connections, we can help more people.

In Your Ears Music is a community company funded by our members. Anyone can join and help with IYE for just £3 a month. At the moment it just covers our outgoings as a business, but the main aim is to create a pot where we can help emerging artists.
